Benefits of Continued Practice
The most important aspect of the study of Chinese Internal Arts is the practice of them. A teacher can only point the way. The student must walk the path. Continued practice of Tai Chi Chuan or Qigong will provide many benefits. It has been our experience that Tai Chi Chuan and QiGong help to aid in healing, improve asthma and arthritis, improve balance and circulation, lower high blood pressure, reduce stress, help with emotional stability and self awareness, increase lean muscle mass, increase flexibility, promote digestion and weight loss, increase overall fitness, and compliment any physical fitness, spirituality, or martial arts program.

Some of the forms and classes currently offered by New Circle are:
Tai Chi and QiGong Principles for Health: This is a great class for people of all fitness levels and also our most popular. It contains gentle stretching, meditation, and breathing exercises. These flowing movements have been used in China for centuries to improve circulation and balance, increase longevity, reduce stress, and promote a sense of well being while increasing vitality. At the end of the session, students will know a basic loosening and stretching program as well as a complete QiGong form. Flat bottom shoes and comfortable clothing are recommended.
Eight Pieces of Brocade Qigong: Often called “8 simple exercises for health and well being”, it’s a great system for health maintenance. These movements increase flexibility, improve circulation and balance, reduce stress, and promote a sense of well being while increasing vitality. It can be taught in either two hour seminar format or as a weekly class to meet the needs of your organization. Flat bottom shoes and comfortable clothing are recommended.
Ancient Style Tai Chi Chuan: This class is traditional Tai Chi Chuan. It contains the forms, philosophy, and discussion of Tai Chi Chuan’s history and place in Chinese culture as well as in the martial arts. The form contains the flavor of Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan and has been passed down from late Supreme Master Wang Chueh-Jen of Taiwan to Grandmaster Huang Chien-Liang.
3 Minute Tai Chi: This is a great Tai Chi Chuan form for beginners or for advanced students looking to learn a short form which doesn’t require a lot of space to practice. Based on the Yang Style, it takes only about 3 minutes to perform and was designed by James Gummer to meet the needs of senior centers, fitness clubs, and workplace wellness programs.
